I want to congratulate Rep. Joe Wilson from South Carolina. Finally, a representative with a spine. It was not the most appropriate time, but at least there was a representative willing to call a liar, a liar.
I will first state, if you believe that President Obama really cares about you and your health, please stop reading and don’t ever vote again. Seriously. Your brain is too small to comprehend reality anyway, so stop trying.
Now, about health care. Just because the plans don’t expressly state something, does not mean it will not happen or is not “in” there. Case in point, abortion will not be funded by federal tax money. It’s a lie. How can the government that has legalized abortion as a “medical” procedure, then say they won’t pay for it? If the bill doesn’t state that they will fund abortions, but how will they ensure that it won’t?
One of the biggest lies is that insurance companies already decide which procedures you can and cannot receive. LIE. This argument comes up because in the UK and Canada, the health care is set up so that if the government won’t pay for a procedure, you are not allowed to pay for the procedure. Let me rephrase that. It is ILLEGAL for you to pay for a procedure if the government will not pay for it. In the United States, if your insurance company will not pay for a procedure, you can still get the procedure. You may go broke, but at least you have the freedom to get the care you decide to get. That is the difference, freedom. So where would the Canadians and Europeans go if our system reflected theirs?
President Obama stated last night that a public option would have to be 100% self reliant upon premiums it collects. Sounds good right? Here’s where the details get in the way. What if the public option goes bankrupt in 5 years? They will be relying on the poorest Americans to pay the premiums to cover their costs. Again, they will be relying on the poorest Americans to pay the premiums to cover their costs. How will it NOT go bankrupt?? Will they just let it go or will they then start funding it with tax payer money? Will the government make it illegal for doctors to not accept public option patients? If so, how can private insurance companies guarantee they can force doctors to take the compensation the public option forces doctors to take? Why is a man that associates with communists and appoints avowed communist to his staff trying to explain how capitalism works? The President’s definition includes something like capitalism works only if private companies have to compete with the government. Really?
His plan to reduce costs is to stop inefficiencies and waste in a government program to fund another government program. Is there a brain out there small enough to believe that?
He also stated that he will require insurance companies to include additional services like cancer screening, etc, “at NO additional cost”. How is that possible. Again, He will require a private company to pay for additional services and receive no compensation? Are you listening?
I applaud you, Joe Wilson.

P90X, Update?
This isn't really an update, since I didn't blog about when I started the sensation that take over the nation. I started P90X approximately 8 weeks ago. I'm currently in my second recovery week. I did not do an initial post when I stated, because I thought it would be like most things I start, it would last about 2 weeks. Then the excuses begin and before I know it, it's 2 months later and I haven't even made a dent in my excuses list.
When I started I weighed 293lbs. Yep, that's a lot. In the first work out I was able to do 10 pushups and that was about it, I did one or two during the other reps and then fell to my knees. On plyo (jump training), the second workout, I was able to do only most of the exercises for about half the time with bad form. So on and so on.
I have now weighed in at 270 lbs (depending on the time of day). Still a lot, but I'm working on it. I am able to do 20 push ups for the first exercise and still have plenty left in the tank to do many more pushups through the rest of the workout. I can keep up with the plyo workout. Now I've started running and am making a goal for a half marathon.
Anyway, just a quick update so that I would know what I'm up to.

It's been TOO Long...
It's been a while since I've posted. Fortunately, I'm the only one that reads this, so it doesn't really matter. I saw this and my first response was to make sure everyone knows that President Obama DOES know the problem with the national debt. Here is the proof.
SCULLY: You know the numbers, $1.7 trillion debt, a national deficit of $11 trillion. At what point do we run out of money?
OBAMA: Well, we are out of money now. We are operating in deep deficits, not caused by any decisions we've made on health care so far. This is a consequence of the crisis that we've seen and in fact our failure to make some good decisions on health care over the last several decades. So we've got a short-term problem, which is we had to spend a lot of money to salvage our financial system, we had to deal with the auto companies, a huge recession which drains tax revenue at the same time it's putting more pressure on governments to provide unemployment insurance or make sure that food stamps are available for people who have been laid off. So we have a short-term problem and we also have a long-term problem. The short-term problem is dwarfed by the long-term problem. And the long-term problem is Medicaid and Medicare. If we don't reduce long-term health care inflation substantially, we can't get control of the deficit.
So, one option is just to do nothing. We say, well, it's too expensive for us to make some short-term investments in health care. We can't afford it. We've got this big deficit. Let's just keep the health care system that we've got now. Along that trajectory, we will see health care cost as an overall share of our federal spending grow and grow and grow and grow until essentially it consumes everything...
So, President Obama has at least looked at the budget and realized that Medicare and Medicaid ARE the reason we are in this mess to begin with. Here's the kicker, what is Obama's plan?? He definately wants to overhaul the system so that EVERYONE is on a plan similar to Medicare and Medicaid.
I'm sure President Obama's plan will work, unlike every other government program.

How To Use a Tool
Before you see this clip, know that to cut $100 million from President Obama's proposed budget is a whopping 0.003% of the budget. He wants to search and go deep to find $100 million, while budgeting $900 million for Amtrack. (by the way, Amtrack has been losing huge amounts of money, it is estimated that a one way ticket on Amtrack costs the tax payers about $97). Now watch the clip and tell me what you think of Gibbs' attempt to make you think the President is trying to cut the budget, or just trying to make ignorant Americans think he's trying.
All I have to say, is Robert Gibbs has further shown what a giant tool he is. This guy defines the "progressive" movement. He is snide, belittling, and with no other way to say it, he's a jerk. If you question him, he will smirk at you then say "Well, lets break this down...so your little pea sized brain might understand what my giant brain easily comprehends". Then he goes in a little say nothing trance to avoid any answer. I know that all press secretaries are paid to do this little song and dance show, but this guy would make a used car salesman cringe at the sleaziness.

Interesting Read, If You Care About Science
Just thought I'd shed some light on the ever restricting idea of what "science" is. Here we have a Right Winged, Karl Rove Appointed, Christian, Slave Owner, Indian Killing, Rascist, Rush Limbaugh Loving, EEVVIL...Well, the list could go on. I might call this person a "scientist" but how could a scientist find any contrary evidence to what Al Gore has already decided is fact. Oh, that's right, science is about finding facts and not promoting ideology, well, it use to be, before it was concidered any theory that goes contrary to Christian beliefs. (Of course this is where I point out that every scientific discovery only points to the truth of Christian beliefs, some of which merely as possible ways God has used His power) (there was that movie by Ben Stein where "scientists" said they believe Aliens started life on Earth or that we are "Children of the Bubble" (ask me if you want to know), but you would be silly to think there is a God.)
Anyway, here is an article that will help restore the idea of "science" as fact finding studies. But if you believe that Al Gore has all the answers, please just call this guy a bunch of names and move on with your little universe and I'll even put a picture of a cuddly polar bear on here to make you feel better.

Don't Insult Your Boss
From the New York Post:
THE top suits and some of the on-air talent at CNBC were recently ordered to a top-secret meeting with General Electric CEO Jeffrey Immelt and NBC Universal President Jeff Zucker to discuss whether they've turned into the President Obama-bashing network, Page Six has learned.
"It was an intensive, three-hour dinner at 30 Rock which Zucker himself was behind," a source familiar with the powwow told us. "There was a long discussion about whether CNBC has become too conservative and is beating up on Obama too much. There's great concern that CNBC is now the anti-Obama network. The whole meeting was really kind of creepy."
Hmmm....Billions of tax payer's dollars being wasted away on bailouts and "clean energy". Is GE afraid to make their boss mad?!?

Two In One Day...Yikes
Just thought I'd bring up the newest tactics of our most beloved former Arizona Governor Janet Nepoliwhatever. The Department of Homeland Security has decided that it has to stop elderly women at airport security checks to make sure that there is no profiling of Muslims. But somehow finds it perfectly ok to tell law enforcement to profile white Christians based on BUMPER STICKERS.
This is a story from WND about the latest report from Homeland Security warning law enforcement about the increasing threat of White, Christian, Radical Right Wingers.
The report warned law enforcement agencies to watch for suspicious individuals who may have bumper stickers for third-party political candidates such as Ron Paul, Bob Barr and Chuck Baldwin.
It further warned law enforcement to watch out for individuals with "radical" ideologies based on Christian views, such as opposing illegal immigration, abortion and federal taxes.
Good luck to anyone who believes in God, Freedom, the Constitution, 2nd Ammendment, 10th Ammendment, what is illegal is illegal and the protection of the family and innocent life. These are now classified as RADICAL ideas by our government and your law enforcement has been warned to watch you as a "suspicious individual".
http://www.wnd.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pageId=94803
Oh, and it told law enforcement to watch out for veterans, because those people are just plain crazy.

There Really Is Hope For America
I saw this reported on the Drudge Report this morning and felt a renewed hope that there are people in this country that have actually read the Constitution. Could you imagine if the man that SWORE to protect the Constitution would start following it instead of trying to rewrite it.
If you haven't read the 10th Amendment, go read it, then you will understand that our Federal Government can in NO WAY claim that they are following the Constitution (not to mention forcing banks to take money and not allowing them to pay it back).

Gov. Rick Perry joined state Rep. Brandon Creighton and sponsors of House Concurrent Resolution (HCR) 50 in support of states’ rights under the 10th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. “I believe that our federal government has become oppressive in its size, its intrusion into the lives of our citizens, and its interference with the affairs of our state,” Gov. Perry said. “That is why I am here today to express my unwavering support for efforts all across our country to reaffirm the states’ rights affirmed by the Tenth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. I believe that returning to the letter and spirit of the U.S. Constitution and its essential 10th Amendment will free our state from undue regulations, and ultimately strengthen our Union.” Perry continued: "Millions of Texans are tired of Washington, DC trying to come down here to tell us how to run Texas."
A number of recent federal proposals are not within the scope of the federal government’s constitutionally designated powers and impede the states’ right to govern themselves. HCR 50 affirms that Texas claims sovereignty under the 10th Amendment over all powers not otherwise granted to the federal government. Thank You, Mr. President. Proof of Your Infinite Do-Nothingness.
"Bankers and executives on Wall Street need to realize that enriching themselves on the taxpayers' dime is inexcusable, that the days of outsized rewards and reckless speculation that puts us all at risk have to be over," the president told reporters and the nation.
So when are the American people going to stand up and say this to Barack Obama? Replacing Bankers and executives on Wall Street with Thieves and Liars on Capital Hill?
"The President and Congress on Capital Hill need to realize that enriching themselves on the taxpayers' dime is inexcusable, that the days of outsized rewards and reckless speculation that puts us all at risk have to be over," the American People told everyone and then actually started paying attention to the scum we have in office and started requiring the ONLY principled men and women who honor the Constitution run for office.
It's funny that when the President of the United States of America is sworn into office, he swearers to protect the constitution. Our current President should have been disqualified by the American people when they found out that he spoke openly about his disdain for that very constitution he swore to protect. Good one. Oh, I guess it's time to fall back on the "well at least he aint 'W'" Well, can anyone point out a positive difference between the two?

Baby Guess Who
Just for fun, I thought we could play baby guess who. Use the Poll on the left sidebar to pick the correct order. I think all the girls look similar, but I can definately tell them apart. Maggie thinks they look more similar than I do. This little game will help see who is right.

The Greatest Song For...now
I have noticed that I have an unbelievable blog following, note the one (1) comment in 15 posts and the one (1) follower - my wife. I know that this tremendous following is screaming for more information about what makes me me. So here is another series that I like to call "The Greatest _____ For...now". This is an insight into the things I'm into for now.
To start off this series, I'm starting with the greatest Song. By now you should be hearing it. Summertime by The New Kids on the Block could quite possibly be their best single so far. I know that seems to be a very outrageous thought, with hits such as Step By Step and Hangin' Tough (of which both you are now singing in your head) it is difficult to conceive anything greater. But on their comeback blazin' trail, they have proven that even guys that turn 40 this year can still look cool spinning in unison.
This song tops their list because of the catchy tune, artistic balance, harmonizing quality and ability of married men with children to sing about their 15 year old girlfriends and not seem creepy.

King of the Week - (2-21-09)
This weeks we crown none other than Mr. Late Night, Conan O'brien.
Conan has given us 16 years of high quality, late night comedy. The pasty skinned man has now officially ended his late night run in order to take over for the rarely funny Jay Leno. In high school one of the things I looked forward to most during summer was being able to stay up late to watch him. I look forward to seeing him on The Tonight Show, since now I'll be able to see him more often.
The greatest quality that Conan posses is his ability to turn a bombed joke into huge laughs. The greatest bit of Conan's career is the Walker Texas Ranger Lever. See the top two of all time.

Quote of the Week...A Twofer
One of the most amazing aspects of the American story is that while the nation's founders came from widely divergent backgrounds...They quarreled bitterly over the most practical plan of implementing those beliefs, but rarely, if ever disputed about their final objectives or basic convictions.
These men came from several different churches, and some from no churches at all. They ranged in occupation from farmers to presidents of universities. Their social background included everything from wilderness pioneering to the aristocracy of landed estates...Their economic origins included everything from frontier poverty to opulent wealth.
Then how do we explain their remarkable unanimity in fundamental beliefs?
...(1) they were all remarkably well read...(2) even though some did not belong to any Christian denomination, the teachings of Jesus were held in universal respect and admiration.
- W. Cleon Skousen (5000 Year Leap, pg 31-32).
I think I would like to add a little to Mr. Skousen's quote. I think the third fundamental idea that held our founding fathers together was their unanimous belief that they were common citizens themselves. They feared a tyrannical leader ruling them and their children's children. They also feared an anarchical government that would not be able to provide the adequate protection they needed. What else can account for their attempts to find the most perfect harmony between tyranny and anarchy? I also believe this shows the complete contrast of the ruling party of today who truly see themselves as the ruling party and believe that we (the people) need them to protect and provide for our needs (ANY speech by Barack Obama/Nancy Pelosi/Harry Reid as evidence).
As Benjamin Franklin prophetically pronounced, I am apprehensive...that the Government of these States may in future times end in monarchy (Albert Henry Smyth, ed. The Writings of Benjamin Franklin).
Do I need to reference the Stimulus Package and call into question all those that said Congress would never move towards the monarchy (socialism/communism/fascism) Dr. Franklin predicted?
Side Note: If our history is written accurately, can you imagine any historian 200 years from now EVER calling George Bush OR Barack Obama well read??

Book Report Number A
The Shack by William P. Young.
This book has found the magic formula that vaulted this story to the tops of best seller lists.
The formula: One part underexposed genre + two parts great story + three parts mediocre writing.
Hey, it's the formula that has Stephanie Meyers with two books on the top 10 list. It put Catcher on the Rye on the "classics" list. And now it has put The Shack at the top of every Christian's must read list, including an endorsement from the Super Bowl losing quarterback that was so terrified of tackling that he would rather get out of the way and lose the super bowl.
This book is a must read if you have no understanding of God, the Gospel and the Atonement. I compare it to a the Twilight books because it really is a great story, unfortunately the author kept it from being a great book.
The story of a grieving father finally coming to terms with the lose of his daughter and finding forgiveness for himself and his daughters killer through an exceptional experience with God was a great story. The unbelievable attempt to try and make God out to be everything He is not was disrespectful at best and at many points goes way beyond blasphemous.
This book really is nothing more than one man's attempt to explain things that he d0es not understand. If you are looking for an explanation of the current economic problems, would you really ask George W. to explain it to you? It would be like asking Al Gore to have a rational thought or Barack Obama comparing his done nothingness to Abraham Lincoln. In other words, if you are looking for directions to the nearest Target shopping center, this book is like calling someone that lives in another country for the quickest route.
However, this being said, if you have time, it is a short read (8 - 9 hours) and there are a few parts that did make me think, even if it was not the direction of thought the author had intended. You may learn something, you'll just have to wade through all the gobble gook and squirm at the blasphemous portions to get there.
My recommendation: Read something by Thomas S. Monson or Alma instead.
Spoiler Alert:
To save you the trouble of reading this book, there was one passage that I thought almost made it worth the read. Mac was brought before a woman and told to be judge. He refused, but she said he must judge all humanity and God Himself. She told him that of his 5 children he must choose 2 to send to heaven and eternal happiness and send the other 3 to hell and damnation. He couldn't do it. She explained that when we judge the things that happen in our lives and the people around us, we are judging God. Not only that, but imagine being a loving father that had to judge his children and send them to eternal torment. No matter how horrible my children may be, I would never want anything less than complete happiness for them. However, that is the the judgement seat God must fill.

King of the Week - (2-14-09)
So this is my little play off of "Best Week Ever" and because I found this picture of John Hodgman, so I decided this will be my weekly update, but based on my record, I might do it for the next two weeks then drop it. Each week (just humor me) I'll be finding the person that is King of the Week, obviously the most prestigious award next to an Oscar (since an Oscar has about the same credibility as an actual award - hence Dark Knight not nominated for best picture, why? because it's a movie people actual wanted to pay money to see so there is no need to mindlessly promote it for weeks as an Oscar contender to try to drum up a little business.)
.
Anyway, our first winner of "King of the Week" is none other than...John Hodgman. This week I saw King John in Coraline (voice of Coraline's father) a movie that is somewhere between Must See and Don't wait 'til the DVD, solid B+. The 3D really made the movie (which is why you should try to see it in the theater), especially since they didn't try to insult your intelligence with stupid 3D tricks. There are also some really creative characters, not to mention a 65+ year old woman with triple F boom booms wearing nothing but a string bikini and pasties.
.
Co-staring in a good movie wasn't really what made King John "King of the Week". What did the trick was his appearance on the show that is the reason the tv was invented. Battlestar Galactica! After his appearance as a quirky, Michael Scott-esk brain surgeon, I became an instant fan. Any actor that can deliver one-liners that can make Kara Thrace squirm, should be hailed and deserves our reverence in his presence.
.
Long live the King! You make me proud to be a PC.

Book Reports
Thought I would just chime in and give anyone looking for a book to read a couple of reviews of the books I recently finished.
Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins.
Great easy read, comparable to a Harry Potter type book. I really enjoyed this book, in fact I stayed up until 1 am to finish it. It takes place in the future with a North American continent that has been decimated by wars, plagues and natural disasters. There is a central government located in the capital city and 13 outlying districts. The central city controls everything and has everything. The districts are basically glorified slave camps that supply the capital city with all they need. The districts attempted to rise up against the capital city, but were defeated, resulting in the destruction of District 13 and the beginning of the Hunger Games.
I'm not going to say much more other than I loved the book. I enjoyed Peeta's character and the curve balls he threw into the story. I will admit that the ultimate survivor is extremely obvious, especially if you really understand the characters, but the way it all plays out was pretty exciting. Read it.
The Last Days of Krypton by Kevin J. Anderson.
This was definitely a surprise. I picked it up at Walmart for $5 just to have something to read during Abby's gymnastics, but I put off actually reading it for a while. This book was nothing like I expected. I was expecting some far fetched, sci-fi laced, super hero type book and this was not it. Don't get me wrong, there is sci-fi in it (alien shrinks an entire city to keep as a trophy for example) but that wasn't the vehicle that drove the book, just a convenient way to set it up.
This book was written as more than just to finally tell the tale how Krypton was destroyed. It is a story with the strong themes, the strongest being that if men do not learn from their mistakes, the results could be catastrophic. This book has some of the best characters I've ever read. The evil is well disguised and you can even justify it's actions until you finally realize its intentions and by then it may be too late. The ultimate cause of the destruction of the planet is a surprise and very profound. This book actually left me contemplating many different things of which I would have never expected. If you read it, please let me know, I need to have someone with whom to discuss it.
And yes, I see a lot of our political situations right now pop from the pages of this book and illustrate what I believe is going on right now in the USofA. It would be difficult for me to distinguish between the man in the book that drums up fear in order to "come to the rescue" of Krypton and the man that is doing the same thing right now.
Let me know if you have interest in borrowing either book, but I may be passing them on to one of you anyway (and by one of you, I mean the imaginary people that I dreamed up that would actually read something I wrote).

Stimulus OR March to Socialism?
You decide.
$1 billion for Amtrack that hasn't turned a profit in 40 years. Stimulus or Government Control?
$50 Million for the National Endowment for the Arts. Stimulus or Government Control?
$400 Million for global-warming research. Stimulus or Government Control?
$2.4 Billion for carbon-capture DEMONSTRATION projects. Stimulus or Government Control?
$650 Million for digital TV conversion coupons. Stimulus or Government Control?
$81 Billion for medicaid. Stimulus or Government Control?
$20 Billion for food stamps. Stimulus or Government Control?
$30.3 Billion for COBRA insurance extensions. Stimulus or Government Control?
$4.2 Billion to increase SSI. Stimulus or Government Control?
$2.5 Billion increase in welfare. Stimulus or Government Control?
$1.0 Billion nutrition programs. Stimulus or Government Control?
Am I a broken record yet?? This really is ridiculous and ALL politicians are to blame! What's worse is the American people are to blame for not paying attention to what our politicians have been doing the last decade to get us here.
$66 Billion for education (that's what the entire department of education spent a decade ago). But they also included language that states NONE of the money for education can go to a single student attending a private school. So is that money for "the children" or for great control over government run schools?
The interest paid on this stimulus package, if paid off by 2020 (which will not happen) will be $347 Billion. aei-brookings.org projects the war in Iraq will actually cost around $299 Billion from October 2007- December 2015 (that's in real dollars) . Where are all the democrats that complained about the wasted money on a war we cannot win. Here we will be paying more for nothing...absolutely nothing!!
And don't forget the $600 Million to "prepare the nation for universal health care". Sounds pretty stimulating to me.

Founding Father's Dream Come True
Here it is people. Your governement at work. Finally, they are concentrating on the important things. Because you are too ignorant to take care of yourself, they are going to ensure that you don't have too much salt.
Imagine what they will be dictating to us when "they" are paying for everyone's health care. Nanny state doesn't even begin to explain it.
"Mayor Bloomberg Declares War On ... Salt
Hizzoner Calls On U.S. Manufacturers To Reduce Salt Content Until It Results In A 50 Percent Cut In 10 Years"
"City officials said that people don't realize the salt content of the things they buy in the supermarket. For example, potato chips you would think are the saltiest thing in the store but they have only 180 milligrams per serving. Turkey meatballs, on the other hand, have 660 milligrams per serving. Marble cake has 300 per serving and chicken noodle soup has nearly 1,400 milligrams of salt per serving."
"The city's plan is to get food manufacturers in the United States to agree to gradually start reducing salt content until it reaches a 50 percent cut in 10 years."

Hurray for Freedom!
This week the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee launched an online petition for readers to express their outrage at conservative talk show host Rush Limbaugh for saying last week that he wanted President Barack Obama to fail.
This week President Barack Obama "advised" congress republicans that if they wanted to "get along" with democrats they would have to stop listening to Rush.
This is how freedom dies. If you are against the Obama policies, you are a hate mongerer. Hmmm....I remember the democrats strongly opposing President Bush, calling him a liar, a war mongerer and worse but being hailed as heros who won't stand for a tyrannical leader. Imagine if Mr. Bush would have ever told democrats not to listen to Keith Dobberman or Air America.
Democrats have now taken the stance that Rush cannot voice his disagreements with an elected politician, but President Obama is allowed to publicly attack a private citizen. Welcome to the new America, folks.

A Toast To the Victors...
Here is an article that really pays tribute to the victors of our last election.
Dec. 8, 2008
An editorial from the London Daily Mail
Obama's Victory
A victory for the hysterical Oprah Winfrey, the mad racist preacher Jeremiah Wright, the mainstream media who abandoned any sense of objectivity long ago, Europeans who despise America largely because they depend on her, comics who claim to be dangerous and fearless but would not dare attack genuinely powerful special interest groups. A victory for Obama-worshippers everywhere. A victory for the cult of the cult. A man who has done little with his life but has written about his achievements as if he had found the cure for cancer in between winning a marathon and building a nuclear reactor with his teeth. Victory for style over substance, hyperbole over history, rabble-raising over reality.
A victory for Hollywood, the most dysfunctional community in the world. Victory for Streisand, Spielberg, Soros and Sarandon. Victory for those who prefer welfare to will and interference to independence. For those who settle for group think and herd mentality rather than those who fight for individual initiative and the right to be out of step with meager political fashion.
Victory for a man who is no friend of freedom. He and his people have already stated that media has to be controlled so as to be balanced, without realizing the extraordinary irony within that statement. Like most liberal zealots, the Obama worshippers constantly speak of Fox and Limbaugh, when the vast bulk of television stations and newspapers are drastically liberal and anti-conservative. Senior Democrat Chuck Schumer said that just as pornography should be censored, so should talk radio. In other words, one of the few free and open means of popular expression may well be cornered and beaten by bullies who even in triumph cannot tolerate any criticism and opposition.
A victory for those who believe the state is better qualified to raise children than the family, for those who prefer teachers' unions to teaching and for those who are naively convinced that if the West is sufficiently weak towards its enemies, war and terror will dissolve as quickly as the tears on the face of a leftist celebrity.
A victory for social democracy even after most of Europe has come to the painful conclusion that social democracy leads to mediocrity, failure, unemployment, inflation, higher taxes and economic stagnation. A victory for intrusive lawyers, banal sentimentalists, social extremists and urban snobs.
Congratulations America!

New Music
Just thought I'd pass on a new album to check out. Thriving Ivory. Check it out on Itunes especially "Angels on the Moon" and "Twilight".
New Shows - 1/15 to 1/22
There are a few shows that I see as must see tv and a fee others that I watch because I'm too lazy to do anything else.
Hillary Swank is NOT hot.
The Best tv this week was of course the smack down my Arizona Cardinals put on the Eagles.
24's return reminds me of all the reasons I stopped watching in the first place. Is anyone else excited to see that that annoying FBI agent may die, but at the same time disappointed knowing that she probably wont? She is the only character that could trump Tony Almeida's constant scowl and the childish dialogue. But the storyline is pretty intriguing, so I'm sure I'll be complaining about it more in the future.
Yo Gabba Gabba taught a compelling story of how baby teeth fall out. This type of education is the key to our societies future. The way they take a simple message and stick it to a completely unforgettable tune that sounds like the Black Russian Gay leader of the pack must have scratched out with his finger nails on a chalkboard.
Battlestar Galactica is basically the end all be all as far as I'm concerned, but I have been a little peeved that we had to wait 7 months to see the second half of season four. I love the show. I love the characters - flawed humans that can show their brilliance and honor when called upon (Baltar is by far the greatest character and one of the best ever on tv). However I am very disappointed in the revelation of the final skin job. Helen is the worst character on the show. Not only is she a skanky, nasty, but she's offered nothing to the show other than being one and nastiest of Tigh's demons. I guess I'll have to watch the remaining 9 episodes to try and figure out why the worst developed and worst character on the show was the long awaited cylon, I'm sure they have something in store.

Greatest Word of ALL Time
Here's a tribute to my favorite word. Terd.
It's the perfect word. It's quite possibly the funniest word in the english language. Go ahead, I dare you to say it out loud and not laugh. I'm laughing just thinking about Terd. Terd. You know there are many forms of terd. There's nerdy terdy terds, hot terds, smelly terds, "how did that terd come out of me" terds, sheep terds, goat terds, you're a terd, happy terds, corn terds, Ahhhhhhhhhh relief terds, who gives a terd, constipated terds, hersey terds, wet terds, yellow-green baby terds, "I'll have another" terds...
Terd, terd, terd, terd is the word. Oh well everybody knows that terd is the word.
You can say "he's a terd" and be joking or serious. You can drop a terd, leave a terd, give a terd and fondle a terd. But you can't have terd and eat it too.
Terd.

At It For Reals
So...what do you say to start off the greatest fact finding mission of your life. I finally realized that I the world wide web is missing one very important thing. Me. As a selfless person, I've decided to dedicate a small portion of my life to you. Your welcome. I'm sure you are all jumping for joy, probably on the brink of tears. For too long the far right leaning, capitalistic, religious zelot, sell your momma to earn a $40 million dollar bonus for driving our country into the ground elite have had all the fun. Well, I'm here to fight back. I like to think of this as a safe haven for all those who love government and all it can do for you. I believe, as the wisest of all stated, the problem with the constitution is that it is a document of negative rights. It only states what the government can't do. That's a fundamental flaw. WE THE PEOPLE, need a document FOR THE PEOPLE, BY THE GOVERNEMENT. So, my main goal will to bring you the truth that is being covered up by all the right wing agenda media, from Rush to Fox News and the occasional story on CNN that makes a Democrat look like maybe they might be a little somewhat corrupt. Well the buck stops here, this is the vessel of truth. So, put your tray tables and seats in the upright and locked position, we're heading straight into the storm.
Election Done Correct
It's nice to see that occasionally election results are correct. The United States of America can finally prove to the world that we do hold fair and honest elections. I think most of you realize (unless you are also a Global Warming, moon landing and Holocaust denier) that America's record and image in the world has been tainted by our unjust selections by bias appointed judges. The debauchery of the 2000 "election" where one candidate was selected by a court appointed by his daddy, was well documented and unbias by HBO (see Recount.) It illustrates that even Bush's camp knew he lost and would stop at nothing to stop the recounts that would prove Al Gore the real President (but don't get me started - beginning with no 911 conspiracy to start a war - I'll post on the truth of this another time.)
Hope has once again been restored. The election of Barack Obama proves that elections are once again tamper free (although I'm sure Republicans tried, it's just that Democrats are now equip to fight the election corruption). But there is another election that has proven beyond doubt that elections can be fair and honest and has finally been rectified and set right. I'm of course referring to the election of Senator Al Franken.
Thanks to the heavy democrat influence within a few select counties, this recount was done correctly. Republicans thought they had it all sealed up on election night. winning by 250 votes, but now the fact is that Senator Franken won by 250 votes. The Republican party was responsible for "losing" many ballots that were for Franken, but Franken's crack team was able to find them wherever Republicans tried to discard them.
Yes, there were some discrepancies found in ballots cast for Franken, but one of his lawyers shed light on the situation to explain why errors made by democrat voters should be ignored and errors on ballots made by Republican voters should render the ballot ineligible. Bill Starr stated "People who voted for Coleman are more likely to have taken the SAT in their lifetime, they've filled in circles. Franken voters are probably not college-educated. They're new voters and immigrants. They've been brought in by groups like ACORN, from the inner cities. They're more likely to make mistakes. I've bounced this off of minority people, and they agree with me." (http://www.minnpost.com/stories/2008/11/19/4728/lights_camera_senate_recount_national_and_local_media_brighten_minneapolis_vote-tabulation_scene)
So here's to you Senator Franken. I guess after all you and your team of lawyers were "Smart enough, good enough and gosh darn it, the people of Minnesota like you." That was oozing with cheesy goodness. So, here's to getting elections right, no matter how many lawyers it takes!
